This logo was designed for both the International School of Beijing speech and debate team, as well as a local speech and debate competition hosted by the school. Integrating the school mascot with a simplified speech bubble, I incorporated the spirit of both events within it.
SPEECH AND DEBATE
BEIJING MODEL UNITED NATIONS
A symbol of peace, the crane is in line with BEIMUN goal of discussing global issues and trying to resolve them in a peaceful and diplomatic manner. The blue of the background is taken from the UN flag, while the laurels draw inspiration from the UN logo as well.
ROBOTICS CLUB
Robotics and coding has always been something I want to be involved in, but as of now, I worked with the club in terms of design. Once again, I used the motif of the dragon in combination of with gears, in order to represent the spirit of the club.
APERTURE CHARITY GALA
Aperture Charity Gala is a black tie gala aimed at raising funds to help children pay for cancer treatments. Centered around the auction and display of photography and artwork, this logo frames a heart made up of "a helping hand", symbolizing the charity work being done, with a camera, capturing the artisitc aspect.
THE MANNA —BAKERY LOGO
The Manna is a bakery and café located in Beijing, China. This commissioned logo reflects the meaning of "manna" as miraculous spiritual sustenance, and suggests the care this bakery puts into their craft.
40th ANNIVERSARY LOGO
This commissioned logo is a celebration of the 40th anniversary of my High School. The circular form of the number emphasizes the passage of time / the years, while the dragon aspect is of course, a school classic.
